Holiday wishes for the people.

Christmas is definitely one of the biggest holidays you can experience. It's a must-have celebration! People show their love and appreciation for their family, friends and relatives by giving tokens and gifts. However, not only do we commemorate the joy of values, but also the birthday of our saviour, Jesus Christ. Still, the big question remains how do we celebrate amidst the ongoing pandemic?

It is no secret that Bigueños are very active in memorializing holidays. Look at Bataan Day, Labour Day, National Heroes' Day, Bonifacio Day, and Rizal Day; these are only some of the many and diverse festivities that the Philippies have to offer. As a participative person myself, I believe that most, if not all, Bigueños are saddened at the situation presented in front of us. The pandemic is still strong, and it prevents us from celebrating in the most engaging way; physical contact is not allowed, and we must maintain proper distancing the avoid catching the virus. However, fear not! We are now in the age of technology. Everything is reachable with a click on your phone, thus, we shall utilize this process. Instead of meeting with your beloved circle on special holidays, I would recommend you to facetime them, which allows them to keep safe and take care of their health. However, if meetups are still required, please remember to follow the protocols: strictly keep your distance, maintain good hygiene, and wear facemasks properly. In this way, not only will you still be able to keep the Christmas spirit going, but also sustain thorough healthcare.

Happy holidays, fellow Bigueños! May you have a prosperous and flourishing year ahead of you.
