By slowing down, we allow ourselves to grow.

The pandemic is strong, but the need for academic break is even stronger. Covid-19 is getting worse, affecting various systems in our economy— and one of the most affected is our education. Answer me this: which is a priority, the health of your people? Or the continuation of studies?
Personally, I believe that academic break is a must. A lot of Filipinos suffer everyday just for the sake of passing modules before the deadline, and this puts a risk on their health; which is already a hazard that needs to be dealt with immediately. Why is this, you ask? Covid-19 focuses on the sick, the old, and the weak. If many are exposed to this type of learning, the more we will undergo distress. And what has the government done with this situation? They refuse to listen to what we need, instead, focusing on what they THINK we need. The Philippines is already a failing country. What do you think will happen if this continues?Continue to let the officials know what is needed. Show them what everyone needs— not merely students, and not just the adults. For a dying country and corrupt government, the future rests in no one else's hands other than us.
I learned a lot from your blog. I like hearing other people's opinions about this. I also think that we need a drastic change to improve as a country. The government needs to listen to the people more. But I'd take Distance Learning rather than an Academic Break almost anytime because, in my opinion, learning should always continue but I hope the government would think of a safer solution to conduct Distance Learning.
